Staying updated on your trades and messages is crucial for a smooth experience on PeerLoot. We offer several ways to receive instant notifications so you never miss an important update.
You can manage all of your notification preferences from your notifications page at https://www.peerloot.com/my-account/notifications/. By default, all email and website notifications are enabled, but you’ll need to take additional steps to receive browser push notifications.
Notification Options #
1. On-Site Notifications
- How it works: A notification icon or counter on the PeerLoot website will alert you to new messages or order updates whenever you are logged in. This is enabled by default.
2. Browser Push Notifications (Recommended)
📱 About Browser Push Notifications
- How it works: Receive real-time pop-up alerts and sound notifications directly on your device, even when you have other browser tabs open or the website isn’t actively displayed. This is the most important and reliable way to receive website notifications.
- To enable: Visit the notifications page and click the subscribe button, or allow the prompt that appears a few seconds after visiting the website. You must subscribe to push notifications for each browser and device where you want to receive alerts.
- For multiple devices: If you want notifications on your computer, tablet, and phone, you must visit the website on each device and subscribe to push notifications separately from the notifications page.
- Important: Even if you enable “Browser Notification” in your preferences, you won’t receive notifications until you subscribe via the button or browser prompt on that specific device.
- iOS and iPadOS: Due to current limitations on iOS and iPadOS devices, browser push notifications are not yet available. We will offer push notification support for these devices in future updates.
- Disclaimer: While push notifications are highly reliable, it’s possible that notifications may occasionally fail to reach you due to technical issues on our side or yours. We recommend enabling multiple notification channels and checking the website regularly for important orders.
3. Email Notifications
- How it works: We will send important updates about your orders and messages directly to the email address registered with your PeerLoot account. This is enabled by default.
- To enable/disable: Visit your notifications page to manage your email notification settings.
By customizing your notification settings and enabling multiple channels, you can ensure you are always informed in the way that works best for you, helping you complete trades faster and more efficiently.
